At first glance, this spacious 2-storey semi-detached home at Begonia Road gives us the impression of a light and airy space due to its massive size and use of light-toned chengal wood and white color palette. However, if you look hard enough, there is also a quiet playfulness in this space. More specifically, the nods to pop culture across the home — such as the inspiration from graffiti artist Invader’s style of installing mosaic tile art in the likes of Pac-Man at the stairs hall and Super Mario in the children’s shower.
Back in September 2020, Ristorante Da Valentino, a 45-seater family-managed Italian restaurant serving classic Italian food, commissioned Prozfile to give their restaurant a brand new wine cellar and updated dining experience to complement their newly launched food menu. Some of the things that were done include designing a private bespoke wine cellar, custom and integrated display cases, installing modern sensors and motors on doors, a new modern rustic lavatory design to complement the rustic Italian concept with touches of industrial at the bar. The choice of modern lightings against a vintage exposed brick design and classic wood panel ceiling further enhances the modern rustic look of this place.
The brief at this 3-storey terraced house at Duku Road is stylish dark woods, functional luxury features, ample storage space, office cum gym, and childrens bedroom for their 3 and 4-year old daughter. The home is further brought out with architectural details such as sculptural lighting cleverly placed to illuminate different spaces of the home. Tasteful interior styling of cognac leather against black fittings and play on woods of tan parquet flooring and dark brown cabinetry tie the whole color palette theme of this landed property together.
